Oscar party ideas: sticking to the theme
The main consideration is sticking to your theme. Think glitz, class, making a fuss of the "star" or stars. Your decoration should reflect that idea.

Here's an area that's very difficult to shop for. The good news is, any "glam" evening wear will do nicely.
